4A Forming an Opportunity Belief

Introduction 1. Your Beginning Point: I believe that a need exists in the realm of UF and Gainesville parking.   The problem is that there is not enough parking for both on-campus students, and off-campus students using neighborhood parking as well as campus parking such as parking garages. 2. Describe Your Belief: The unmet need is that there is not enough parking garages around UF and Gainesville in general.   Almost everyone in Gainesville with a car has this need, unless they have a special accommodation like a handicap parking pass or a reserved parking spot.   This need has not always existed, as there have not always been too many people admitted to the university.   Unfortunately, there is little being done to meet this need now.   Many students must sustain being ticketed if there are no parking spots left at the end of the day, or students are forced to not bring a car to school at all because it is too difficult to find a spot every day. 3A Your Entrepreneurship Story

Image
The first experience that comes to mind when talking about entrepreneurship is a project I completed in my junior and senior year of high school.  I was part of the finance academy at school, and part of our final grade was to complete an entrepreneurship project where we ordered and sold products to other students outside of the cafeteria.  In order to get an “A,” we had to make at least $300 worth of profit.  The hardest part of the challenge was deciding what item to sell to the students.  My team had to brainstorm a product that was both affordable to the students, but also something that both males and females of different ages would want to purchase. In the end, my group decided to sell socks with colorful patterns.  They ended up being a success. I enrolled in ENT3003 because it looked like a very interesting business elective. Even though I do not intend on owning my own business, I know that the skills I will learn in this class will continue to h...

2A Bug List

Part 1: The Bug List 1.        The keys to my work building take too long to work, and I have to jingle them in the lock for up to a minute before the door opens         Why:   The keys/locks are old, and no one has replaced the system for many years 2.        The construction outside of my window wakes me up every morning, and there is a new sorority house being built across from mine.         Why: There is no way to minimize the sound of the construction, and the windows in my sorority house are old and do not block sound well. 3.        The hallway light in the sorority house is too bright at night and keeps people up         Why: There is no system in place to turn on the dimmed lights at night, and no one has ever brought up the issue before 4.        I can’t find any stylish shoes tha...
